We are happy to announce that we are planning to hold Learn to Row classes this summer!
COVID-19 precautions: Everyone is required to wear a mask during class and anytime in the boathouse and on the dock- NO EXCEPTIONS. Although this is an outdoor sport, the structure of some of the boats requires people to be closer than 6ft from each other. We will be moving into single boats as quickly as possible to increase physical distancing (and because it's fun and is one of the class goals), but the first several classes will be in group boats.
Our 2021 Learn-to-Row program consists of 13 class session in June. During the four week program, students are encouraged to attend all three classes each week in order to get the most out of the program. If you have to miss a class, we will do our best to catch you up, but multiple missed classes in a row may not leave enough time to get you ready for solo rowing by the end of the session.
The program progression:
Students will be exposed to both sweep and sculling rowing activities and are encouraged to continue rowing at Open Rowing sessions until the season ends. Upon successful class completion, you are eligible to become a full member of Lansing Rowing Club!
CLASS DATES: Starting June 1st and ending June 29th, three classes per week:
Thursdays 6-8 pm
Your spot in the class will only be reserved once payment is received. Once the class is full, the payment button will be removed and a waiting list started.
Cost: $250 - this includes the 13 group classes as well as Monday and Wednesday evening drop-in rowing for the rest of the season!
The Learn to Row class has reached capacity. People from the wait list have have been contacted to fill out the increased class size - no more spots will be added to the current class. If you would like to contacted about future classes, please fill out the form below.
